3D Artist and Animator

This model only has one animated state "Fire" I created this animation because I originally planned to use Houdini FX for create a realistic fire sequence with particle effects. Unfortunately the model file got corrupted and I was unable to do this.

Maya Rigging Set Up

I created this rig from scratch using the joint tool in Maya, I rigged the model like this because creating my own rig allowed me to make very specific animations.

This model was created using Maya 2017, then textured using Substance Painter 2.

I made this using inspiration from Battlefield 1. To make this model I looked at many reference images from online sources including museum websites. I initially wanted this model to be in a game I am working on, however the model became too high-poly for a game so I decided to make the model photo realistic
.
I used Maya to unwrap this model, and although the model looks good overall, there are some small issues with the unwrap. For example, I should have put the shells and the crate on a separate UV map, because I put all the textures on the same map, the textures are not as sharp as I wanted them to be. The textures used in the renders above are exported in 8K using a PBR metal rough shading model.

How was this made?

World War 1 Anti-Tank Gun
This is a world war 1 Anti-Tank Gun used to destroy enemy tanks. The gun takes 2 people to operate and has a very slow rate of fire, making them good enemy targets.

The inspiration for this model came from battlefield 1 and a trip to the imperial war museum. i have tried to make this model as close to an original as possible by using technical drawings and photos.

Concept Sketches / Drawings
These are some simple sketches is did before making the model to help me see the proportions and how everything would fit togther
